Ravi, who is from Palatine, Illinois, will study entrepreneurship and corporate innovation at IU, with a second major in Sustainable Business and Law, Ethics, and Decision-Making (LEAD). An Indian history buff, he likes Salman Rushdie’s fiction (“he presents and writes about it in an engaging and beautiful way”). Ravi believes in the motto “Whatever you do, do it with intention and a purpose.” At IU, he looks forward to joining the Raas (Indian dance) team and pursuing extracurriculars and clubs in and outside of Kelley, because he wants to connect with as many new people as possible. His preferred study abroad location is Singapore: “I think it'd be fun to bike the whole length of the country (17 miles north to south)!” When he was little, Ravi read the entire Percy Jackson series in two months and fell in love with the ancient Greek and Roman empires, from their gods to the architectural design of their people.” The most exhilarating thing he has ever done was cliff jumping with friends in Door County, Wisconsin. Ravi’s most important values are trust and accountability. Ravi will hold the Gerald and Dorothy Redding Scholarship.
