International student nomination deadlines
As soon as early August, interested international students who are non-US residents and non-US passport holders should contact Maria Santa (mnsanta@iu.edu) to begin their nomination process. We strongly recommend that you start this process as early as possible.
This is the deadline for receipt of fully completed electronic nominations and supplementary materials from eligible high schools, including letters of recommendation and student essays. Complete nominations that include all required items must be submitted through our online portal.
To be eligible for other opportunities at IU Bloomington, students should apply for admission to IU Bloomington as soon as possible. The final deadline is November 1. For additional information, including IU deadlines, visit the sites for the Office of Admissions and Office of Scholarships.
All nominees are notified of their finalist status. A small group of finalists are selected to participate in video chat interviews, which are required for Wells Scholars Program consideration.
Each finalist with receive notification of status, and 1-2 international Wells Scholars will be selected from the finalist group.
This is the deadline for students to accept or decline the offer of a place in the Wells Scholars Program.
New international student advising, registration, and orientation at IU Bloomington will take place in the summer.
Welcome reception for new Wells Scholars will be held during Welcome Week.
