International student nomination deadlines
As soon as early August, interested international students who are non-US residents and non-US passport holders should submit the form on our International Nomination Process page to begin their nomination process. We strongly recommend that you start this process as early as possible.
Deadline for receipt of fully completed electronic nominations and supplementary materials, including letters of recommendation and student essays. Complete nominations that include all required items must be submitted through our online portal.
To be eligible for other opportunities at IU Bloomington, students should apply for admission to IU Bloomington as soon as possible and no later than November 1. For additional information, including IU deadlines, visit the sites for the Office of Admissions, the Office of Scholarships, and the Office of International Services.
A small number of finalists are selected for interviews. All nominees are notified of their status.
Update 12/16 12pm EST: Our faculty readers are working diligently to finalize decisions. The notifications for all nominees will be sent via email at a currently undecided date this week. We thank you for your patience.
Finalists participate in video interviews with faculty and staff.
International Wells Scholars finalist(s) will be selected from the finalist group, and all finalists are notified of their status.
This is the deadline for students to accept or decline the offer of a place in the Wells Scholars Program.
New international student advising, registration, and orientation at IU Bloomington will take place in the summer. Incoming Scholars should watch their IU email and visit the websites of the Office of First Year Experience and the Office of International Services for more information on how and when to register and other important dates and deadlines.
A welcome reception for new Wells Scholars will be held during Welcome Week.
