The Wells Scholars Program offices are located in Harlos House, directly across Tenth Street from the Wells Library. (You can find us on this searchable campus map.) The house was a generous gift to IU from Cecil and Inez Harlos, longtime friends and neighbors of Chancellor Wells.
WSP staff are happy to meet with prospective students and families virtually or in-person. Please contact our office to set up a visit! Such conversations will be purely informational; they confer no advantage on the potential nominee, have no impact on an ongoing selection, and are certainly not required. WSP staff cannot and will not intervene in the faculty review, which is at the core of our program. Nor do they have any control over the high school nomination process.
Note that our normal hours of operation are weekdays 8a-5p, with limited availability in November and December during our review and interview processes. With advance notice, we may be able to make alternate arrangements.
