Chase Salmon

Hometown:
Shoals, Indiana

Biography

Chase n’ the Dream. Chase, the first Scholar from Barr-Reeve Middle/High School, was recently surprised and honored to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award. A Hoosier native and basketball fan, he once envisioned joining the NBA, but now he plans to major in psychology and dreams instead of meeting John Mellencamp in person. Chase feels at peace in nature, especially at the Hindostan Falls along the White River or driving along the Pacific Coast Highway in California. If you happen to be with him and there is a drum set nearby, you might get a sample of his hidden talent—drumming! Chase’s secret pleasure is watching the under-appreciated TV show Pretty Little Liars. Chase would like to thank his dad for keeping him humble and hungry for success, and his mom for taking care of him and preventing him from getting lost in this big world.

Chase will hold the Arthur & Thelma Karch and Jefferson Shreve scholarships.
