Caroline’s literary tastes are diverse, with favorite books such as Dubliners by James Joyce, Stiff by Mary Roach, and the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. These works have fostered their appreciation for classics, non-fiction, and mythology. The best advice Caroline has received is to take breaks to prevent burnout, highlighting the importance of self-care for long-term well-being. Libraries are their happy place, providing a serene environment to focus and escape from reality.
Caroline plans to major in Anthropology on a pre-medicine track. Their passion for medicine began in high school when an interest in clinical presentations of narcolepsy led to an epiphany about pursuing a career in biology and anatomy. This deep-seated curiosity has driven Caroline to continuously explore physiology and medical research, blending their interests in anthropology and medicine for a holistic approach to understanding human health. Caroline will hold the Larry Paul Kays Scholarship and the Bernardo Mendel Scholarship.
