Heidi Peng

Portrait of Heidi Peng
Hometown:
Carmel, IN

Heidi (she/her) is a rising junior studying graphic design and psychology. Joining the graphic design program as a second-semester freshman is her proudest achievement and has boosted her confidence as well as helped hone her personal design and illustration styles. She is the owner of her own small business and website, HPdesign, where you can view her work including class assignments and an independently developed game based on Chinese folklore. She serves as President of the IU chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and dances with the Di:Verse Dance Crew. New Zealand is Heidi’s destination of choice for future vacationing and living, and she also looks forward to studying abroad, likely in Copenhagen through IU’s joint summer design program. Heidi’s favorite books are A Tale Dark and Grimm by Adam Gidwitz, Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu, and No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai. She enjoys Studio Ghibli films and especially wants to visit Howl’s Moving Castle! She would like to thank her parents and sister for being the reason she’s able to do what she does today, and for teaching her how to be confident in herself. Heidi will hold the City Securities Corp. scholarship.
