Biography
Esteban is proud to join the Wells Scholars Program as the first Scholar from Washington High School and is honored to represent his small town in our international community. He is determined to use this opportunity to its fullest extent and explore a pre-med track towards medical research by majoring in biology, with a possible minor in computer science to stay abreast of rapidly changing technologies in our future. He would love to discuss the mystery of existence with Albert Einstein and learn more about the concepts of gravity and relativity from the person who first explained them. Esteban would title his autobiography Being Normal Is Overrated and perhaps nothing proves this better than his creative choice when offered the opportunity to time travel: he would only go back one week in order to win the lottery and use his sudden influx of wealth to make a real and significant difference in the world! Esteban would like to thank his parents for sacrificing the life and safety they knew in their home country in order to allow him and his siblings to have more opportunities, and he hopes to use all that he has been given to the best of his ability. He will hold the Henry Hudson Wells scholarship.
