Biography
Amin, the third Scholar from Eman Schools, will major in biotechnology on a pre-med track. He chose IU because it offers a place and home for everyone and any interest one might wish to pursue, whether small or big, is met with a vast catalog of classes and resources as well as remarkably helpful staff, professors, and peers. FOMO is no more! The best advice he’s ever received is that “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” Amin put this theory to the test and found great fulfillment in watching peers succeed in subjects in which they used to struggle as a result of his persistent and concentrated tutoring efforts. He would love to travel to Iceland to take in the breathtaking views and learn more about its unique and intriguing culture, including their impressive renewable energy infrastructure. Amin also thinks it would be interesting to travel to a ten-dimensional world, just because it’s impossible to currently envision, and he likes to daydream of his happy place floating peacefully in space without sound, gravity, or light, and the entire universe to stare at. Ask him to demonstrate his hidden talent of a completed “unlocked” face: he can wiggle his ears, bend his tongue, move his eyebrows independently, and even cross one eye at a time. Amin will hold the Ruth Norman Halls scholarship.
