Simon Yeley

Pronouns:
He/Him

Simon Yeley enters Indiana University as an undecided major with a strong interest in service, communication, and community-building. He is actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, where he led his high school’s chapter and contributed to both fundraising and building efforts. He was introduced to the organization by a peer and quickly found purpose in the work and the community it fostered.

Simon values sincerity and is guided by the idea that being true to oneself allows for both growth and resilience. He draws daily inspiration from his mother, whose kindness and intelligence have shaped his understanding of how to engage meaningfully with the world.

He describes the Wells Interview Weekend as a formative experience that affirmed his desire to join a community grounded in intellectual curiosity and mutual respect. Simon values sincerity, humility, and thoughtful dialogue, all of which he sees reflected in those around him. Whether through reading, service work, or conversation, he remains committed to listening closely and learning from others.

Simon will hold the Byron K. Elliott Scholarship and the D. Walter Robbins, Jr. Scholarship.
