Savannah Staggs is majoring in Biology and brings with her a strong sense of connection to family. Her three brothers have played a formative role in shaping her outlook. They have challenged her academically, modeled perseverance and offered steady encouragement. She credits them as her strongest influences and most consistent supporters.
Savannah values adaptability, a principle reflected in her approach to new environments and expressed in her favorite quote: “Everything has changed, and yet I am more me than I’ve ever been.”
Outside the classroom, Savannah is deeply involved in music and theater, having held lead roles in all four of her high school’s musical productions. Her interest in singing began at home and led to formal voice lessons, opening opportunities that remain important to her.
One of her most meaningful places is her grandparents’ lake house on Kentucky Lake, where she has made many of her favorite memories with family and friends. Whether on stage, in the classroom, or by the water, Savannah values the people who surround her and the relationships that help her thrive.
Savannah will hold the Willis Hickam Scholarship and Jerry Yeagley Scholarship.
